CARP Convention [Jul 30 – Aug 3]
This 5-day Student Conference is designed to help each person discover insights within themselves and from their peers, as well as gain relevant leadership skills to help them pursue their goals and dreams. This is done through demonstration of the CARP campus model of its core life and leadership principles.
On Wednesday, July 30th, registration will begin at 9:00AM at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union in the center of the UMD campus. Orientation will follow with a Kick-Off Luncheon. Each day of the conference will lead participants to discuss and apply the core life and leadership skills to benefit their own lives.
On Saturday, August 2nd, deemed our “Young Professionals & Alumni Networking Day,” we will focus on the importance of Mentoring – both of seeking a mentor and how to be a good mentor to others. In the afternoon we will have an interactive session where students can connect with and learn from people living out their dreams, culminating in an elegant evening with performances and a professional networking banquet.
The Convention will conclude at noon on Sunday, August 3 with an optional tour of our nation’s capital in Washington, D.C.
The registration fee is $200 which covers materials, select meals, and the program. It does not include food or lodging so participants are encouraged to find local options. CLICK HERE to see off-campus housing options.
