As July ends and the lazy days of summer wind down, the time soon approaches for students to prepare for another year of school. College students deal with a unique dynamic as they juggle finalizing course schedules and tuition payments, moving back to school, and seeking opportunities that will contribute to their professional development. This means that it’s time to set some goals for the upcoming semester. What kind of grades do they want to make? Should they take on a part-time job or internship? Which extracurricular opportunities should they get involved in? The gap between the end of summer and beginning of the school year can seem overwhelming for students, leaving them not sure where they should begin.
At CARP (Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles), our goal is to help young people discover and implement principles for living successful, fulfilled lives. We really want to give students the tools and resources that will help them gain momentum for a successful year in college. Which is why we’re excited to host our national convention, MOMENTUM 2014! Whether you’re preparing for your first year of college or your last, we’ve got something for you! Look forward to enriching seminars that will enable you develop skills personally and professionally. Interact with participants from around the country and the world by engaging in a diverse array of evening programs such as an epic game night, etiquette seminar, and student spotlight showcase. Cap off the week by meeting young professionals in your field of interest by attending the Networking Reception.
Sounds like the perfect way to end your summer! Don’t worry, there is still time to register for this awesome event! More details and registration can be found at https://carplife.org/momentum-2014/. We hope all of our college students take time to reflect on the previous school year and their summer in order to create clear goals for the upcoming school year. The young adult age range (18-24) deals with a huge level of internal growth, and we want everyone to be able to fulfill their utmost potential during this critical time of their lives. So, enjoy the rest of your summer, see you at MOMENTUM 2014, and we wish you luck for the 2014-2015 school year! Love, CARP
