This month we held our Two Day Divine Principle Retreat for participants to learn the Divine Principle in a group setting through presentations, sharing in small group discussions and participating in activities. CARP leaders gave presentations based on the theme of “Discover God's Hope for Me." As all participants had attended retreats before, we had the chance to take the next step to introduce habits that help grow our faith through practice, we call life of faith habits. One participant, Yareth Pascual, CARP Las Vegas member since 2019, shares:
"I think going into the workshop I was expecting more of a reminder of how God is in my life; however I gained more. I was told of God's hope for me through actions, discussion and feeling. Love, that was what I felt God wanted from me. It is easy for me to fall into a place where I listen to Satan's words of doubts and unworthiness to a place where it consumes me. Going on this retreat I was demonstrated how important it is for me to view the world through God's eyes. God is a parent; God only wants what is best for us and that includes us learning what it means to love whether it is others, our world, or even ourselves. What I took from this is that God sees the worthiness of me and I should always keep that in mind whenever I am going through struggles or lost in the mundane God sees me. I have also taken it as God being around me all the time. I have taken this as me having to be more intentional in inviting Him in my daily living."
