CARP New Jersey (New Jersey Institute of Technology, Montclair State University) and Philadelphia (Community College of Philadelphia) teamed up to hold a four day retreat at the Unification Theological Seminary in Barrytown, New York from January 5th-8th, 2022. To ring in the new year, the participants determined to experience God through in-depth study of CARP’s core principles, bonding as brothers and sisters, and setting new determinations for 2022. The workshop centered around the theme, “The Heart of God.” God’s profound joy, sorrow, and hope throughout history was captured in the presentations, bringing life to the theme of the workshop. To conclude, CARP’s mission was expressed, motivating the students to impact and convey God’s heart to their respective campuses.
CARP LA embarks quest to experience Heart of God
On January 3 to 5, CARP Los Angeles hosted their winter retreat to experience the heart of God by digging deeper into CARP’s principles and encouraging students to make it a part of their life. The first two days were hosted online, and the last day was in person. Fifty to sixty students attended the online portion and almost 70 attended in person. Three professors were also able to join the first two days.
CARP Midwest gathers for winter retreat
Midwest CARP hosted their winter workshop the first week of January. The workshop was originally intended to be held in person in Michigan, but as a result of the nation’s coronavirus situation, the setting changed to a virtual platform. Despite this last minute change, members stated that they had a great time at the event and enjoyed meeting other CARP students from around the Midwest.
CARP LA champions living a principled life in their annual Turning Point Retreat
On January 2rd to 5th, CARP Los Angeles hosted their 4th Turning Point Workshop at the Los Angeles Family Church with the theme, “Owning a Principled Life.” The purpose of the workshop was to commit to building a life of faith by understanding God’s heart and learning about how CARP’s Founders, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, lived their lives for God and for world peace. It was also to help participants realize the need for young leadership.
Utah CARP & HARP Winter Retreat 2018
On December 28th and 29th, the CARP and HARP chapters in Salt Lake City, Utah, hosted a two-day retreat focusing on the theme, Living a Principled Life.
The retreat included college, high school, and middle school aged participants with activities like ice skating, team sports, and a song session encompassing the spirit of CARP’s founders, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.
Find Your Purpose, Change Your Life with Midwest CARP
On December 21-23, the CARP chapters from the Midwest, Grand Rapids, Chicago, and Indianapolis, collaborated to host a winter CARP retreat at Camp KOHOE in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This retreat was a follow up from the Spring Retreat. The theme of the winter event was “Find Your Purpose, Change Your Life” with the focus being on the Three Life Goals.
