Abbreviated News: UB Celebrates Peace with Music
On September 19th, 2019, CARP University of Bridgeport (UB) and Youth and Students for Peace (YSP) co-hosted an event, Sing for Peace, in the UB Student Center with 60 people in attendance. As a university with strong ties to the United Nations and 20 percent of the student body from over 80 different countries, Sing for Peace’s purpose was to promote worldwide harmony and peace with musical expression.
CARP Bay Area Shares about Healing in 'Peace Starts With Me' Event on Campus
On Friday, May 3rd, CARP Bay Area held an on-campus event titled Peace Starts With Me gathering an audience of over 80 participants consisting of students, faculty, and community members from the Bay Area. The event was held at Chabot Community College, and the keynote was given by Dr. Sandra Lowen, LCSW, on “Reconciliation and Healing Our Communities.”
