Marriage. Family. Sexuality. There are many different opinions and perspectives about each of these topics—and the university has become a hotbed to converse about them.
CARP has our perspectives on them as well. And to sharpen our thoughts on them, a few representatives spent a weekend in Princeton, New Jersey from October 28th to 29th for an annual conference hosted by the Love & Fidelity Network (LFN) called Sexuality, Integrity, and the University (SIU).
CARP Boston Launches "Principles to Live By"
“Principles to Live By” began as a six-week virtual seminar during 2020, when a group of pastors and young people wished to present the first chapter of the Divine Principle through presentations and discussion groups. Pastors Catherine Ono, Heather Thalheimer, Joe Young, Sunhyun Miller and his dad Professor Wayne Miller, and CARP Boston President Luc Jean all wished to present the Divine Principle through practical, daily applications.
Fellowship on the Shenandoah Mountains
On Oct 22nd, CARP DMV organized an overnight hiking trip in the beautiful Shenandoah mountains. The intention behind this trip was to connect with our guests and the local high school youth in nature, God’s creation.
“Break the Stigma” Mental Health Awareness Walk
“Break the Stigma” was an event hosted by Sista Luv, an organization working to bring awareness to mental health issues. Many different organizations including CARP’s partner organization Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) joined the event to connect with one another and share about their organizations.
CARP Hawaii Joins the Kulio’ou Ridge Trail Restoration
Six CARP Hawai’i leaders and members supported a local non-profit called Aloha Tree Alliance. They are “dedicated to mitigating climate change [by initiating and supporting] environmental projects to advance resilient forest ecosystems and food security for Hawai’i.” In total there were 46 participants and we planted 120 native trees and shrubs! It was a great success!
CARP Chicago: Kicking Off the Fall Semester
CARP Chicago started our activities at the end of August with many club meetings and our first-ever club fair. At each meeting, we get together and take part in icebreakers and make connections to prepare ourselves to hear topics based on the Divine Principle.
CARP Bay Area Shares Unification Principles
This September CARP Bay Area hosted its first Unification Principles (UP) seminar of the semester! The seminar kicked off on the evening of September 23rd via Zoom with participants joining from UC Berkeley, Chabot College, and young adults from the Bay Area Family Church community interested in furthering their education in the Unification Principles.
Boston Connects to a Higher Purpose
CARP Boston successfully held their very first Higher Purpose Talk on September 23rd, 2022 at the Boston Family Church. Sixteen people attended including five new participants.

Abbreviated News: CARP Boston Initiates Service in Their Local Community
On June 12th, CARP Boston held a service project at the Family Federation community of Boston. After asking one of the caretakers of the community about what things needed to be done, seven participants moved items off the roof into the basement. Following that, groups were formed in order to continue beautifying the front entrance of the building, cleaning the back staircase, and vacuuming.
